The Digital Collection is part of the Henderson State University Archives that was established by President Martin B. Garrison in 1975 to preserve the history of the institution.
The Archives was managed by J. Robert Greene, Associate Professor of History, from the time of its establishment until his retirement in 2001. The Archives was moved to the Huie Library in 2001 under the direction of Marielle McFarland. Ms. McFarland, Bibliographic Instruction Librarian, managed the Archives from 2001-2005. The Archives room in Huie Library was dedicated to J. Robert Greene in 2006. Since 2005, the Archives have been under librarian Linda Evans, Coordinator of Technical Services. The Digital Archives is a on-going project that began in 2009. Collections are added yearly.
